THE KIND OF DAY

Nanshan: Tech & Future

Curious first-time visitors who want to see how emerging technology meets everyday life. This is a public retail-and-city route, with demonstrations only when the venues offer them.

Allow a full day if you like to linger. The suggested pace includes lunch and the journey between stops.

A PROPOSED SEQUENCE

One place
leads to another.

6–8 hours from the first stop to the last. The lower times give you a shorter day. The upper times leave room to explore. Walking between stops, lunch and breaks are already counted.

  1. 01

Bambu Lab at Shenzhen Bay MixC

    拓竹 · 深圳湾万象城

Start with the finished models, then look at the printers and materials used to make them. Ask which machines visitors can see running today.

    60–75 minutes
  2. 02

INNO100 at Shenzhen Bay Culture Square

    INNO100 · 深圳湾文化广场北馆一层

Walk to the North Hall and find INNO100 on Level 1. Pick a product that solves a familiar problem, then look for a different solution. Try the displays open to visitors.

    75–105 minutes
  3. 03

    Lunch near Talent Park

    人才公园周边用餐

Find a place to sit down for lunch near the park. A regular meal fits the route even when drone delivery is unavailable.

    60–75 minutes
  4. 04

    Talent Park and the waterfront

    深圳人才公园 · 无人机配送点

Walk the waterfront and look for the designated drone-delivery point. If it is active, watch a pickup from the public area. Leave time for the walk to your car pickup point.

    60–90 minutes
  5. 05

    Ride to OCT Harbour

    前往欢乐海岸

Take a regular taxi or ride-hailing car east to OCT Harbour. This block covers pickup, traffic and the walk to DJI. Check the fare in your own app or with the driver.

    45–60 minutes
  6. 06

    DJI at OCT Harbour

    大疆 · 欢乐海岸旗舰店

Compare consumer drones and cameras at the flagship store. If a demonstration is available, use the longer stop to see how the cameras handle movement.

    60–75 minutes

Getting between places

Explore the Houhai and Shenzhen Bay stops on foot, then take a self-paid car to OCT Harbour. Traffic may stretch that part of the day. A separate robotaxi outing needs extra time beyond this itinerary.

BEFORE CHOOSING A DAY

Opening days
and the weather.

What needs checking

INNO100 lists free individual walk-in entry, while group visits need advance arrangements. Confirm any dedicated demonstrations or hosted visit with the stores before arranging a group. Check opening and the active drone-delivery location for your date. Retail displays and product ranges change. The outline is planned for daytime after 10:00; venue hours alone do not guarantee a demo or delivery.

If plans need to change

Keep to the indoor retail stops when ordinary rain makes the park unsuitable. Skip drone delivery if flights are suspended. A shorter Houhai version can omit the OCT Harbour transfer, with its own timing agreed in advance. Severe weather may mean changing the day.

AT TALENT PARK · OPTIONAL AND SELF-PAID

A delivery
from the sky.

Look for the designated drone-delivery pickup facility. Watching an active delivery can be part of the visit; ordering is a separate choice.

  1. Find an active pickup point.

Follow the current on-site signs and use the official Meituan ordering entry shown there. Confirm that this location is open and appears as a drone-delivery option.

  2. Check the order before paying.

Choose from the available merchants and confirm the pickup point, delivery method, price and estimate. Ordinary delivery to a park address does not mean it will arrive by drone.

  3. Collect using the order instructions.

Follow the app’s collection message at the designated facility. Stay in the public waiting area and follow site staff instructions.

Weather, operating hours, merchant supply and account/payment setup can prevent an order. If the service is offline, enjoy the park and take an ordinary café break. No flight or delivery is promised.

OPTIONAL · BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE OPERATOR

How to try
a robotaxi.

A car that drives itself is one of Shenzhen’s most memorable possibilities. Pony.ai has documented public service in Nanshan; the live app decides which trips are available.

Treat this as an independent extra, not the connection the route depends on. A ride, a particular vehicle type or an exact pickup point is not guaranteed or included.

  1. Start with the official channel.

Use PonyPilot from the operator’s official listing, or its official WeChat mini-program. Check the publisher before installing or signing in.

  2. Check setup before the day.

Complete the operator’s account and payment steps on your own device. Overseas phone, document and payment compatibility are not confirmed for every visitor. Check the current passenger rules, especially for children, luggage or accessibility needs.

  3. Choose a trip the app offers.

Select Shenzhen and inspect the current service area. Choose both pickup and destination from available points. A landmark on this route is not automatically a valid pickup location.

  4. Review, then request.

Read the live fare, passenger capacity, vehicle details and cancellation terms. Request and pay the operator directly only if the trip works for you.

  5. Find the assigned car.

Follow the app’s walking directions to the pickup point and match the vehicle details. Use the app and in-car instructions for boarding and starting; keep your seatbelt on and contact operator support if needed.

No eligible car? Keep the day moving.

Use a regular taxi or the metro instead. Allow extra time for an optional ride; it is outside the base route’s duration. We do not handle your account, identity checks or payments.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

What to plan for.

  • Four public technology stops linked by lunch and an afternoon car ride
  • Time to browse, ask product questions and take a waterfront break
  • Instructions for trying a robotaxi separately if the operator offers a suitable trip

Costs and arrangements

Budget for your travel, meal and anything you order or buy. Check demos and workshops directly with each store. The stops are public retail spaces and a park.
